The City of Edinburg is proud to announce a new theater workshop, to be held on Tuesday, December 4th at the historical Edinburg Municipal Auditorium located at 415 W. University Drive. The workshop will be taught by Eduardo Calderón Castillo from the Universidad Tamaulipeca. The workshop will be held from 4pm – 8pm.
The theater workshop is being held by the City of Edinburg’s Library and Cultural Arts Department and will focus on “Constructing Fiction”. This workshop is geared towards adults and adolescents aged 14 years and older. The workshop will consist of basic knowledge of theater and elementary stage work tools. The workshop will focus on the free, creative, and reflexive development for the application in the work of fiction.
The theater workshop is one in a line of workshops planned for the coming months. The goal of these workshops is to eventually foster a community theatre group for the City of Edinburg. The community theater will add another component to the already culturally rich and diverse Library and Cultural Arts Department and the City of Edinburg.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their own spiral, pencil, clothes, and comfortable shoes.
