Edinburg, Texas–The City of Edinburg, ANAK, and The Philippine-American Chambers of Commerce-RGV invite the community to join in the 3rd Annual Filipino Festival commemorating the Philippines’ Independence, happening on Friday, June 8, 2018. A huge celebration will be held at the Edinburg City Hall Courtyard to mark the special occasion.
This celebration will showcase the richness of the Filipino community, ethnic Bazaar, and Filipino food. The City of Edinburg is proud to celebrate the growing diversity in the Rio Grande Valley with this special day.
Festivities start at 5 p.m. with Filipino games open to everyone, especially children. Free food tastings, Lechon Rice, will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Filipino food will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Enjoy authentic cuisine, exciting music and Filipino childhood game demonstrations that will lead into the evening’s program and witness the beautiful traditional dances of the Philippines. Everyone is invited to immerse yourselves in the culture through these dances, live performances, traditional music, and the traditions of a Filipino celebration.
