Corporal Baldomero Anzaldúa
Army, Light Weapons Infantryman, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. CPL Anzaldua was captured by the North Korean Army on July 12, 1950 near Chochiwon, South Korea. He gave his life on April 17, 1951 after enduring exhaustion, exposure and malnutrition while marching to the Apex camp in North Korea. He is honored on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was awarded the Prisoner of War Medal and the Purple Heart.
