Rebecca bridges
Rebecca Bridges currently serves as the Executive Director at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, Texas. She is a seasoned arts professional with a robust background in museum operations and exhibition curation. She has held key roles in various cultural institutions, where she has been instrumental in developing engaging exhibitions and educational programs. Bridges' expertise encompasses collection management, public outreach, and strategic planning, contributing to the growth and accessibility of the arts.
Caitlin Clay
Caitlin Clay is the Curator of Exhibitions at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, where she organizes, installs, and manages a wide range of exhibitions and curatorial projects. She holds a Master of Arts in Art History from Texas Christian University with a specialization in Modern and Contemporary Art. Caitlin has juried national competitions such as Photolucida's Critical Mass and has been awarded numerous grants supporting exhibition development and collection care. Since joining AMSET in 2018, she has curated over 20 major exhibitions, featuring artists like José Villalobos, Alicia Eggert, and Earlie Hudnall, Jr. In addition to her curatorial work, she frequently speaks at conferences and academic institutions, contributing to the advancement of museum practices and public engagement in the arts.
Tiffany Jehorek
Tiffany Jehorek is a visionary arts leader currently serving as Executive Director and Curator of Exhibitions at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts (LMFA) in Longview, Texas. Since 2017, she has led LMFA’s strategic operations, curated dynamic exhibitions, and successfully raised millions through capital campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Tiffany has organized notable exhibitions featuring artists such as Andy Warhol, Laura Wilson, and Josh Dorman, while also overseeing major facility renovations and membership growth. She brings extensive expertise in collection care, grant writing, public engagement, and museum leadership, with professional training from the Barnes Foundation and the American Alliance of Museums. Her dedication to the arts extends beyond the museum, serving on numerous boards and actively supporting Texas' cultural development statewide.
Ed Pogue
Ed Pogue is an accomplished arts educator and leader with extensive experience in higher education, having served as Director of the School of Art and Design at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and as Chair of multiple departments at Bethany College in Kansas. He is a recipient of the prestigious Mortvedt Award for Teaching Innovation and Campus Leadership, recognizing his impact on both education and campus life. Over his career, Ed has taught a wide range of courses spanning animation, digital media, sculpture, and gallery management, while also serving in key administrative and committee roles. His passion for fostering creativity and innovation makes him an exceptional voice for this year’s fair.
Luis Purón
Luis Purón has served as Executive Director of Rockport Center for the Arts (RCA) since 2015, leading the organization to national prominence and overseeing the development of new programs, festivals, and a state-of-the-art campus. Under his leadership, RCA tourism visitation has tripled and revenue has doubled following the opening of the new 1.2-acre arts campus in 2022. After Hurricane Harvey destroyed the original facility, Purón and his team swiftly relocated operations and continued programming without interruption, later launching a successful $13 million capital campaign to rebuild. He also played a key role in securing a $5 million disaster recovery grant and preserving local landmarks. A resident of Rockport since 2015, Purón currently serves as Treasurer of Texans for the Arts, advocating for public support of the arts statewide.
marcelo A. Ramirez Garcia-Rojas
Marcelo A. Ramirez Garcia-Rojas currently serves as Chief Curator at the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) in McAllen, Texas, where he oversees the care and stewardship of a collection of over 14,000 objects. With a background in both art and education, Marcelo has experience curating exhibitions, facilitating community outreach, and leading informal art and science programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development & Health and Studio Art from the University of Denver and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Museum of Outdoor Arts' Design and Build Grant and the Clay Houston Emerging Artist Grant. His commitment to innovation, education, and cultural engagement brings a valuable perspective to this year’s jury panel.
