Sergeant Alfredo C. Gonzalez

 Marine Corps, Rifleman, 1st Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, A Company. Sgt. Gonzalez was killed in action on February 4, 1968 in Hue City in the Thua Thien province of Vietnam, after successfully suppressing enemy fire before being mortally wounded. He is laid to rest at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Medal of Honor.
