Lance Corporal Jose M. Gomez

Marine Corps, Rifleman, 3rd Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, D Company. LCpl Gomez was killed in action on May 4, 1967 during a mission near the Quang Nam Province in South Vietnam. He is laid to rest at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
