Specialist Four Rafael Martinez

Army, 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry, Headquarters Company. SP4 Martinez was killed in action on March 29, 1968 while on a resupply mission in the Hua Nghia province of South Vietnam. He is laid to rest at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
