Lance Corporal Nolan L. Simmons

Marine Corps, 3rd Platoon, B Company, 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division. LCpl Simmons was killed in action on February 6, 1968 while on a patrol in the Quang Nam Province of South Vietnam. He is laid to rest at the Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen, Texas. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Purple Heart.
