Lance Corporal Homero E. Tijerina

Marine Corps, Rifleman, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines. LCpl Tijerina was killed in action on July 4, 1966 during a combat operation in the Quang Nam province of South Vietnam. He is laid to rest at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
