First Lieutenant Ethelbert F. Amason

Army Air Forces, 361st Fighter Group, 374th Fighter Squadron. 1st LT Amason was killed in action on January 30, 1944 in Rijssen, Holland on a bomber escort mission to Ijmuiden, Netherlands. His tombstone is at The Raymondville Memorial Cemetery in Raymondville, Texas. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal.
