Petty Officer Third Class Jose Antonio Saenz

Navy, Ship's Cook Third Class, USS Indianapolis. PO3 Saenz was declared missing on July 30th, 1945 after two Japanese torpedoes struck the USS Indianapolis off the coast of the Caroline Islands. He is honored on the Walls of the Missing at the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
