Private First-Class Eusebio Herrera


 Army, 200th Coast Artillery Regiment, Battery D. After the fall of Bataan, PFC Herrera was one of the 10,000 to 12,000 Americans who were forced to march over 60 miles under brutal conditions. PFC Herrera gave his life in captivity on May 24, 1942 at Camp O'Donnell in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines. He is laid to rest in the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and a Prisoner of War Medal.
