Petty Officer First Class James B. Owen

Navy, Aviation Machinist's Mate First Class. PO1 Owen was declared Missing in Action on May 29, 1944 after an attack on the U.S.S Block Island off the coast of the Canary Islands. He is honored on the Tablet of the Missing at the North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial in Carthage, Tunisia. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
