Private Zacarias Ruiz

Army, 306th Infantry Regiment, 77th Division. PVT Ruiz was killed in action on April 21, 1945 in Okinawa, Japan. He is laid to rest at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and the Purple Heart.
