First Lieutenant Joseph W. Heacock Jr

Army Air Forces, 10th Reconnaissance Group, 33rd Photographic Squadron. 1LT Heacock gave his life on July 7, 1944 after crashing during a non-combat photo test hop. He is laid to rest at the Cambridge American Cemetery in Coton, England. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
